We have been very impressed with Kelly’s patience, kindness, creativity, and her vast knowledge of speech development. Our four year old daughter has been working with Kelly for six months now and she has become the highlight of our daughter’s week. We’ve seen great improvement in our daughter’s speech, and even more importantly we’ve gained so much knowledge around our daughter’s speech needs. Kelly communicates her weekly goals and outlines exactly what our next steps are. She is full of ideas on how to make tasks fun for our daughter and sends us videos, flash cards, games, and various supports to help outside of our sessions. Kelly has surpassed our expectations and we feel very lucky to be working with her.
We are very thankful to have found Kelly to help my son with his language skills as he was entering middle school. He was having difficulty with organizing his ideas for writing assignments, understanding and using new vocabulary, and expressing his thoughts clearly. They are still working hard together but there has been great improvement in his ability to express himself in writing and verbally. He is able to use the strategies he is learning in therapy and apply them to his school work while needing less and less assistance from us at home. We would recommend Kelly to work with students in this age group because she connects well with my son and knows how to hold the interest of a middle school student, which isn’t always easy, by making tasks fun and keeping the mood light-hearted. It has been a pleasure to have my daughter work with Kelly. She took to Kelly from the first day we came and really enjoyed therapy time. She never wanted to leave! I was so worried that my daughter would never learn to speak but she did, as Kelly said she would! I’ll never forget the first day we came and I broke down in tears with worry, and Kelly was very calm and reassuring. After working with her for a short time, I knew I was right in having confidence in her skills as my daughter began making steady progress.
